Renunciation of Malaysia Citizenship (Mar 2020)

在去High Commission of Malaysia之前，要先把文件都准备齐全。首先，搜寻官方网站看一下应该准备什么文件。

以下是根据我的情况，我所携带的文件。

1. Form K （Borang K) - 真正的Form K 是黄色的
    先 print  一份,提前填写。必须是 BLOCK LETTERS (Capital Letter)。
2. Form MY-RN1
   先 print  一份,提前填写。
3. ICA Approval Letter (Original & 2 photocopies)
    我没有收到hard copy, 所以就直接print soft copy 的
4. Malaysia I.C (Original & 2 photocopies)
5. Malaysian Birth Certificate (Original & 2 photocopies，前后都要)
    备注：报身纸必需 Laminated
6. Malaysian International Passport （不需要photocopy)
7. Passport 照片3 张 (白色背景）
8. 准备$10.00 现金

    提交申请的时间是 星期一 到 星期四 (8.00 am to 12.00 pm) 或是 星期五 (8.00 am to 11.30 am)
因为有些事要处理，所以坐Grab去到也已经是10:20am 了。在入口处的 guardhouse ， 用 Driving licence 换取 Visit Pass。然后就从旁边的小门进去，右转➡️就看见 Consular Division 的指示牌，跟着走就能到达目的地了。

     一进门不远处，就有个 Officer 坐在那里，我把所有文件给他看（包括自己Print 并填写好的 Fake Form K 和 Form MY-RN1)。Officer看了一遍后，递了两份Form K (黄色的）和 Form MY-RN1给我。这些Forms 必须要用黑色的笔填写，因此看见Officer身后有好几支。照着事先填好的 Forms 照抄一遍。

    填好后，就把所有文件加上刚填好的Form K 和 MY-RN1 交给 Officer 检查。Officer 确认文件齐全后，先让我盖上左右两边的拇指纹印，再把所有的文件还给我。然后就自己到旁边按号码等。这个时候人不是很多，很快就到我的号了。到 Counter 把文件都交上后，再坐等付款。在 payment counter 付了$10 现金后，会拿到一张粉红色的 Collection Slip。注明三天后 2:30pm - 4:00pm 就可以倒回来领取 Acknowledgement Slip了。 确定 Collection 的日期后，我就 Log In MyICA 把 Appointment日期提前 ，改到星期六早上。

    请了半天假，反正时间还早，我就凭着第一次回程的经验，搭巴士再走一段路进去。就这样，顺利地早到了许多。才发现休息时间是12.00noon - 2.00pm ，所以必须在外面等候。直到 2点左右，就在guardhouse那里 换取 Visit Pass。再到 Consular Division 等，Officer 大概 2.20pm就开门了。把 Collection Slip交给 officer后，坐等一下，很快就拿到我的Acknowledgement Slip了。需要复印 2 份交给 ICA。


14 March 2020
     今天早上要到 ICA 去 Register for citizenship 。依照ICA Approval Letter 上的checklist 准备了 Letter of Approval， Blue IC (Original) ， 3 张照片，Acknowledgment Slip （Original & 2 Photocopies) 和 Birth Cert Certified True Copy (Original & 2 Photocopies) 。
 
       我的Appointment 是 9.15am, 提前十五分钟到 ICA Level 6， 在 Kiosk 拿号码 (Scan Blue IC) 。没过多久就到我了，Officer 先让我拿出IC 和 3张照片。确认照片符合标准后，交上 Acknowledgment Slip  & Birth Cert Certified True Copy  (2 photocopies + Original) 。
注： 核对完毕后，original Acknowledgement slip 就会归还。

      然后，就用NETS付款（SGD 80)， 跟着指示按下左右手两边的拇指指纹印 以及 现场照一张相 。再拿回 Blue IC (已被打洞，不能使用了），然后到一旁等待宣誓。

      进到指定的小房间里，宣誓官让我看一篇宣词，准备好后就可以站起来，举起右手宣誓。

Oath of Renunciation, Allegiance and Loyalty

“ I, .................................................................................., do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will not exercise the rights, powers and privileges to which I may be entitled by reason of any foreign nationality or citizenship, and that I absolutely and entirely renounce all loyalty to any foreign Sovereign or State or Country and, 

I, ........................................................................................., do further solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the Republic of Singapore, and that I will observe the laws and be a true, loyal and faithful citizen of Singapore. ” 

        宣誓完毕后，接过我的 Temporary Pink IC 就完成 registration 了。剩下的就是等待Ceremony 领取 Pink IC了。还有一个很重要的步骤，就是拿到 Approved From K 后 ， 必须 Log In MyICA 并 upload （规定要在8 个月以内完成）。


   在同一天，我就直接到 Level 2 把申请Passport的表格 放入 Deposit box 里（事先在ICA website print 出来填好并附上照片)。 在 17 March 2020那天， 突然想起，所以就login MyICA。看见已经approved 并且可以在20 March 2020过后领取了👍。
